Important News from the 15th Judicial Circuit

Pursuant to Florida Rule of Judicial Administration 2.215(e), the judges of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit are notifying attorneys of a proposed amendment to Local Rule 4 that will be submitted to the Florida Supreme Court on February 28, 2017.  More than a majority of the circuit and county court judges have approved these rules.   Highlights of the changes include the local rule’s application to county court, application to special set hearings, removal of application to pro se litigants, and a modification to the certification language so that it more clearly tracks the content of the existing rule.

 A representative of the local bar association and any interested person may be heard in writing on the amendments to Local Rule 4.  All written submissions are to be sent no later than Friday, February 24, 2017 to the Chief Judge in care of:
