The Florida Bar continues to increase its outreach efforts to voluntary bars to assist in creating a diverse judiciary and Judicial Nominating Commissions that reflect the population of the state of Florida.
To help facilitate the most recent opportunity to get involved in this process, please see below a news release announcing a deadline extension for applicants to fill two lawyer vacancies for each of the 26 Judicial Nominating Commissions. The release provides information about the opportunity provided to The Florida Bar to nominate six lawyers for each JNC to Gov. Rick Scott for his appointment.
Qualification criteria and the process for submitting an application are included in the release. Applications must be submitted no later than Monday, January 22, 2018, in the Executive Director’s office of The Florida Bar. Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of an application.
