2010 THEME: "Law in the 21st Century: Enduring Traditions, Emerging Challenges"


Law Week: Every Spring, the Palm Beach County Bar Association sponsors a week-long series of free programs based on the Law Week theme for the community and our schools. Programs include legal education seminars;Dial-A-Lawyer; mock trials; speakers' bureau and a Judicial Shadowing program. Details for this year's events are shown below:

DIAL-A-LAWYER PROGRAM -- volunteer attorneys will be available to answer general legal questions by telephone (561) 687-2800 Monday, May 3 - Wednesday, May 5 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

LEGAL EDUCATION CLINICS -- clinics will be held on various areas of the law. RSVP's are required.

Event MEDICAID - Planning and Nursing Home Dangers

Event SMALL CLAIMS LAWSUITS AND MEDIATION

Description Find out how to handle your own case in Small Claims Court from filing to presenting your case to the Judge. You will also learn how to settle your dispute without going to court and without hiring a lawyer. Directions to West Palm Beach Library: From I-95, take the Okeechobee Boulevard (State Road 704) East exit. Take Okeechobee Boulevard East until you get to Quadrille Boulevard. Turn left and take Quadrille Boulevard North 7 blocks. Turn right on to Banyan Boulevard. Head east on Banyan for one block. Take your first right at Dixie. The garage entrance will be on your right. PARKING: The City of West Palm Beach provides one free hour of parking at the City Hall garage. In addition, we validate one hour of parking at the City Hall garage (southeast corner of Banyan Boulevard and Dixie Highway, northeast of the Library entrance).
