Law Week: Every Spring, the Palm Beach County Bar Association sponsors a week-long series of free programs based on the Law Week theme for the community and our schools. Programs include legal education seminars;Dial-A-Lawyer; mock trials; speakers' bureau and a Judicial Shadowing program. Details for this year's events are shown below:

DIAL-A-LAWYER PROGRAM -- Three days only! Volunteer attorneys will be available to answer general legal questions by telephone (561) 687-2800 Monday, May 2 - Wednesday, May 4 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

LEGAL EDUCATION CLINICS -- clinics will be held on various areas of the law. RSVP's are required.

Event SMALL CLAIMS LAWSUITS AND MEDIATION

Description Learn which cases belong in small claims court and how you can resolve your legal issue without hiring an attorney. Find out how to file a small claims lawsuite and present your information to the judges. A small claims lawsuit is any dispute valued at $5,000 or less. Event CONDO & HOMEOWNERS: Can They Really Do That?

Description Know your rights, duties and oblilgations as a homeowner. Learn about proposed state laws and court decisions assessment requirements, foreclosures, use restrictions and other issues affecting your home. Directions to Gaines Park: From I-95, take the Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. exit and head east. Go approximately 2.5 miles to North Australian Avenue and head north. Travel approximately 1/2 mile and you will see Gaines Park on the left. The Community Center is located inside Gaines Park.
