Palm Beach County because of its dynamic legal community:
It’s a small town practice with big city sophistication.
And it doesn't hurt that it is a really beautiful
place to live as well." -Manuel Farach

Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
The Palm Beach County Bar Association
(PBCBA) is committed to meeting the needs and desires
of the community's growing minority population, which
numbered nearly 40%, according to the 2008 Census update.
A host of governmental programs, businesses, foundations
and bar associations are here to support you every step
of the way. For example, the Palm Beach County Office
of Small Business Assistance Program serves as a clearinghouse
for business information and referral services and provides
technical assistance and training opportunities. The
Paragon Foundation of Palm Beach County offers funding
and financial opportunities to worthy black and minority
businesses. Many private corporations, such as Scripps
Florida, actively promote and encourage diversity. The
PBCBA in partnership with the F. Malcolm Cunningham,
Sr. Bar Association (an affiliate of the National Bar
Association), the Hispanic Bar Association, and the
Florida Association of Women Lawyers (FAWL) are making
strides in helping to ensure that minority lawyers in
Palm Beach County have every opportunity to thrive in
the community; through the Bar's Committee for Diversity
and Inclusion the PBCBA aims to continue this focus
in the years to come.
Anti-Discrimination Policy
for the Palm Beach County Bar Association
The Palm Beach County Bar Association is committed to
a policy of inclusion and diversity with respect to
the composition of its staff, its membership, the chairs
and members of its committees, and its officers. Consistent
with this policy of promoting inclusiveness and diversity,
the Association does not discriminate against any individual
because of such individual's actual or perceived race,
color, national origin, citizenship status, religion,
creed, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual
orientation, disability, marital status, familial status
or responsibilities, U.S. Military or veteran status,
or age.
| "I
chose Palm Beach County because I believed it would
provide me with a better opportunity to establish
a name and reputation in the community than I would
have in other larger markets. I was not disappointed.
Getting involved in local organizations is one of
the best ways to connect with the local community
and build the relationships that will have a meaningful
impact on your career. " -John M. Howe
